Coach Paul Richards Leaves For San Antonio X-Factor

Breaking News—Paul Richards is leaving Tampa Bay Damage to be the assistant coach for San Antonio X-Factor. There have been a few other notable moves in the off-season in the Damage camp with Alex Goldman heading back to the LA Ironmen, Justin Rabackoff and Dave Bains leaving for Edmonton Impact, and the return of star player Bryan Smith.

Paul Richards has been a mainstay for Damage, guiding them to many victories over the past few years, including the 2011 World Title. Only time will tell the effect of his departure.

With this move X-Factor is positioning itself to make a run at the Houston Heat’s title. They picked up Scott Kemp this past weekend as well.

X-Factor’s head coach Ryan Brand had this to say about the move, “We are excited to have Paul on our staff this season. Paul has proven he has a recipe for success during his illustrious coaching career. I personally can’t imagine anyone I would rather have by my side leading X-Factor back to the top”.

PBA will bring you more information about this situation soon.

With the new Champion vs. Challengers format in the PSP, where every game is now important, and all the dramatic off-season roster changes for most of the big name teams in the sport, the 2013 season is shaping up to be the most interesting and entertaining in the history of paintball.
